One of the pioneer companies in servicing oil exploration and production activities, ASTROMARÍTIMA has been for more than 4 decades reaffirming its prominent position in the Brazilian maritime support sector, prioritizing the excellence in the services provided and client satisfaction.

The operational experience acquired during these years has made the company a reference in general cargo vessels chartering services, oil spill combat, fire fighting, rescue operations, towing services, anchor handling, diving operations, research, launching and maintenance of lines, among other services. We also count with highly trained own maintenance teams, located in our operational bases in the main Brazilian ports.

We have11 own vessels and also operate foreign vessels, where we act as EBN (Navigation Brazilian Company), representing our international partners in Brazilian waters.

HISTORY

ASTROMARÍTIMA started to operate in the 70s, after the decision of Petrobras to privatize to third parties the support activies for their oil platforms. In this opportunity, the company initiated the construction of 5 vessels, and right after it, we won another bid in Petrobras to build 10 more vessels.

With the growth of the Brazilian economy, the company expanded its activities to interior navigation and port support sectors. In interior navigation, through the incorporation of Navegação Cajari company, we operated 2 pushers and 4 ferryboats, transporting goods between Belém and Porto Velho. In the port support sector, through the incorporation of CBR company, we operated 4 tugs in Itaqui ports and in Vale S.A. and Alumar terminals in Maranhão.

In 2016, targeting to meet the new demands of the oil and gas market, Astro Navigation company was created.

In the off-shore support sector, we operated bases in the main Brazilian cities, such as Paracuru, Natal, Aracajú, Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Vitória, and Itajaí.
Abroad, we have worked for the oil state-owned companies in Mexico (PEMEX), Argentina (YPF), and Colômbia (Ecopetrol).

The company is founding partner of ABEAM (Brazilian Association of Maritime Support Companies) and had one of its representative elected President of this institution in 1982/83, and until today participates actively in the most relevant discussions of the sector.
